3月31日 What do you get if you mix....Actually it isnt a joke, but maybe its relevant on some level...just maybe, but anyway I shall delve into the reason I'm writing this down.
Some things to look forwards too for all.
Lionhead have stopped entries to their 'Hero Title' compo...and should all be starting with a short list soon!
Bungie have released two new maps for Halo 2...well on the 17th April at any rate
I've been gifted the at last chance to review a game after a 3 month drought!
And finally...I love this site, lol
Now enjoy...for it is home time. 3月19日 Self promotion and greed...Firstly, to show off a bit...since I havent done an article for BXB or anything more than news for a while.
My Xbox experience to mark the birthday of Xbox over 5 years ago last week...and possibly one of the coolest experiences I've ever had on a console, very cool moment...
As well as this...Deal or No Deal is possibly the greediest show I have ever seen. No-one seems content with the money they get offered, and then finally lose out because of all being greedy, money grabbing idiots...JUST DEAL on the first box and get the hell out if it goes tits up, lol!
Sorry...rant over. 3月17日 SPARTA(N's)!Time is right...I guess, to talk on what I personnally am looking forwards to this year in the mass world of geeking, and gaming, and all the things in-between.
Firstly I dont know why on earth I'm writing this but I guess it all helps bring a finality to it all. After 5 months since last November the relationship with my girlfriend broke down and ended on Monday...Not exactly something easy to talk about but with the great help from all of my friends and those I have only met a few months ago here at Keele its been amazing to have you guys behind me and taking a interest in the way I'm feeling...so for that I thankyou all.
Secondly and on not such a sombre and 'I didnt come here for that!' note...next week from the 22nd/23rd of March the cinemas will play host to not one, but two rather interesting and attention grabbing movies. Not only do we have the epic (and as some are saying Gladiator slaying) movie 300. Based on the amazing and heroic battle between the Spartans and Persians as they halted a massive invasion force the film has taken critical acclaim from many reviews across the world so far as it came out last week in America and shook the box-office. Its no-holds-barred action and blood thirsty take on warfare of old where the saying for many Spartans was "Come back with it (your shields) or upon it"...has made it possibly one of the major films, if not THE major film of 2007 already. As well as this, being based on the graphic novel of the same name, by again world famous writer and artist Frank Miller means that it retains a stylistic look and feel that many have compared to that of a brilliant operatic epic...
As well as this, as I said there is not one, but two movies that I'm looking forwards too next week. The second being the lastest reiteration of the classic cult hit Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT). The films CGI effect make for some interesting, and frankly stunning comic looks and it does indeed look amazing on the trailers from many websites. It certain will not beat 300 for fans, but it looks like one of those must see films for all people...and if you need to shove you're kids into a film while you watch wash-board, chiselled men beating the crap out of each other, then despite the 'mild fantasy violence' I think it should be one thing you should certainly be looking forwards too. After all...anyone born in the 80's and 90's is going to remember wanting to be at least one of the TMNT's...if not them then Shredder at the very least.
Now, with the movies out of the way a certain nudged towards gaming should be put in order. Firstly, and possibly rightly so...Halo 3. Not only has Bungie released its new images for the Limited Edition and Legendary packs that we can buy...but obviously the BETA test is not that far away. Being totted for an end of Spring release on Xbox Live I dont think any 360 gamer is going to want to miss out on what is going to be a genre and platform defining moment in our lives. Anyone who doesnt know about Halo, or gaming in general...and sees it as a past-time for the geek of old, you are very, very much mistaken...and should quite frankly be ashamed of yourself. If you havent already, go check out the images and the like on Bungie's home page and see for yourself what we are getting.
Now, onto some smaller games that I will certainly be buying in the next few weeks. For one I have missed out on F.E.A.R and now I am regretting it. But, with the holidays coming up I will certainly be going to get it as soon as possible and try and enjoy it as much as I did the demo. After all, I did the preview for BXB and now I still cant remember why on earth I passed it up, although I think it was because Marvel: Ultimate Alliance came out around the same time and of course being a comic book freak of sorts that was my first mindset purchase. As well as this, from repeated play throughs on my trusty 360 I think I will indeed be buying GRAW 2 when I can as well. If not for the brilliance of co-op play...but for the fact that everytime I play through it it feels like a bloody amazing experience that I really could not pass up it seems
Now...onto a quest that has made me drop many games from my lists over the past few months. Ever since I was shown God of War I have needed to play it, but being on PS2 and having the funds of a student it has been alluding me as to whether or not to splash the cash and get the console and the game and ease my frustration into playing this game. BUT, now I am reconsidering the option...with so many games coming out for 360 over the next few months and the lure of a Halo 3 BETA hanging over me...I would just not have the time to put into this game however much I tried. So, Im afraid..God of War...like Dirge of Cerberus will stay locked in its PS2 shaped vault for a while as I concentrate permenantly on the gaining of some lovely 360 games to put my stamp on.
On another note, Achievements...stop making them so stupid developers. There are some overly tedious ones that no-one is going to get unless they starves themselves of sleep for many, many weeks...and you really dont want that on your conscience now do you? In short...make them more normal for Buddha's sake.
Now onto more geek channelled chat...having a massive workload put off from circumstances that began this week on Monday, I really havent been able to get anything done...let alone concentrate on anything for very long (so this blog is indeed a feat you should all be worshipping) I have been forced to bow out from a geek night/day this weekend back home. An annoying fact...but alas Uni work regrettably comes first for some reason, twined with the fact that I dont think I'd be much fun at this moment means that I have for probably only the second time ever had to miss out on the geek night in the works.
Thankfully in two weeks time I shall be home for over 4 weeks of hard study (yeah right) and potential PERMENANT Gold membership for at least those 4 weeks. I shall indeed be splashing out on the joy of Live now there is nothing else to keep my attention focused and shall be enjoying every single moment of blowing up Locust heads and laughing down my rather rudamentary microphone as I do it...as well as this, some catch up on Halo 2 is in order and the download of everything I used to have on my old Xbox and some serious changes to my gaming as I wait for the Halo 3 BETA. Added to this, I think a change of gamertag is in order...as I regret picking such a stupid title as ZombieMasher45 in one of those 'what was I thinking' moments of my life. I think a good old NinjaX or if that is indeed taken Xajnin for some naming glory.
So...watch out in those big custom games potential freinds list occupants as the NinjaX will be back to exercise his energy sword and deal out some long overdue pain on those unsuspecting idiots who still use the n00b combo (and for that I am sorry to use such a word as n00b as I bet it grates on you're mind as well as mine)
I would just like to add...to all those that gave to Comic Relief like me last night, well done! Its great to still think we can make a difference and for £40million I think we all did exceptionally well.

3月14日 Move on...Well, that was a fun weekend...I now know why Bob Geldof said he "didnt like Mondays". But anyway, time to move on and talk to you about some nicer stuff.
My Fable fanfic...started it again, little did I know that I'd be stopping it a little sooner and getting bogged down in other things. However it is now uploaded onto the lovely site...
In the Fable Discussion section...under fanfiction thread.
As well as that a few games you should be looking forwards too...
Crysis/The Darkness/Army of Two....all of which are brilliant games on the horizon, theres threads for them too on the website.
I'd also like to thank Kevin, the founder of the site for the recent upgrade in my authority in making me an Administrator of the site, and its a great honour to continue working on it. We also have a new Super Moderator Fableluver92, who is doing well so far and really helping out on the site when she can...so good luck to her.
As well...I need to thank my friends for sticking by me, and for us not losing touch with two of us going off to University. Its great to have you guys to chat to still...so a big cheers to you guys.
Anyway...back to a massive Word Document with the words 'Assignment' printed on it. 3月3日 Back to the drawing board of life...Well after a rather extended hiatus, I can say I'm now back and ready to try writing more again....I just think I miss blogging to be honest, even if none of you fuckers read it...lol...(only joking)
I think I've found my...muse...shall we say again. It took a while, but now everything makes me get that writing bug again...and all thanks to finding that key effect again.
well...I'll be writing a small short on a made up world of mine soon, map and all if my camera works still...
plus..more Fable:Hero and possible more ToD if I can find my notes....
Also, there will be much painting going on over my 'reading' week coming up...as I promise to finish my Tau and all my nifty stuff because I really should have done it a long time ago...
I think all this keeps my mind of things..theres...a lot I have to think about now....so...its my relaxation.
So...for my intinerary...or however that fucking word is spelt...
Fable: Hero - ToD - Tau painting sessions & pics - Dwarven Slayer & Pics...and probably some more stuff somewhere...I dunno... |
